'Boot-licker' jibe by Tevez

CARLOS TEVEZ added even more spice to next week's Carling Cup semi-final derby showdown by describing former Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville as a "boot-licker" and an "idiot".

The Manchester City striker last night reignited his feud with Neville, after the pair exchanged gestures during the clubs' Carling Cup semi-final first leg clash at Eastlands which Manchester City won 2-1.

Neville had claimed in an interview that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was right to let Tevez leave Old Trafford.

The Argentina forward said: "Gary Neville came out and stood by Ferguson's comments, saying that I wasn't worth 25million. I thought he was in the wrong because we were team-mates. I feel he was a boot-licker when he stood by Ferguson's comments."
