Bjorn Borg signs up with Melrose

THE name of tennis legend Bjorn Borg will adorn the sleeves of Melrose rugby players after the fashion company bearing the Swede’s name became the latest ‘supporter’ of the Borders club.

Bjorn Borg UK have supplied all playing members at the Greenyards with their latest boxer short range in a four-figure sponsorship deal. As part of the agreement ,the Borg name will appear on the sleeves of the playing jerseys.

The link-up has come through Borg’s UK Managing Director, Callum Sneddon, who lived in Melrose when working as sales manager for Pringle.
