Birdie boost puts Carly Booth in running

Scottish teenager Carly Booth suddenly found form and moved into the top ten after a second round 70 at the Deloitte Dutch Ladies' Open at Broekpolder in the Netherlands yesterday.

The Comrie 18-year-old's four birdie round put her on one over par and into a tie for tenth place with 18 holes to play.

England's Holly Atchison stayed on course for a first professional victory with a second round 71 for a six under par total.

New Zealand veteran Lynnette Brooky was in second place on four under after a 69. Kylie Walker, six over par, was the only other Scot to survive the cut.
