Beuzelin turns back on SPL for Cyprus

GUILLAUME Beuzelin yesterday flew to Cyprus after agreeing to join Second Division outfit Olympiakos Nicosia until the end of the season. The 30-year-old Frenchman turned down the chance to remain in the SPL with Hamilton after rejecting a fresh offer on reduced terms.

The former Hibs midfielder said: "I've agreed to join them for the next four months and I'm looking forward to it. My agent got in touch to say they were interested and I'll go over there and see how it goes.

"I don't know that much about Cyprus and the football there but I know there are a couple of former Hearts players playing there and I might get in touch with them when I'm there."
