Basketball: Lagoon to make splash as Scottish Cup Finals venue

The Scottish Cup Finals will be held for the first time at the Lagoon Sports Centre, Paisley, the home of St Mirren, on February 2 and 3.

One Capital team who definitely will not be there are Polonia Phoenix senior women after their shock exit at the hands of St 
Mirren, for whom Sarah Thomson scored 39 points.

Polonia have the chance to regroup when they host Pentland Star at the Crags tomorrow (6.20pm).

Edinburgh Kool Kats had little trouble beating Star 63-35 at Broughton High last night, moving away from a 31-22 half-time 
lead.

Sarah O’Brien scored 14, Leanne Paige 12 and Lauren Walker 11 for Kats, who travel to Arbroath on Sunday to play improving Tayside Musketeers (5.20pm).
