Basketball: Kings to answer Scots call

EDINBURGH KINGS can expect to provide at least four of the Scotland senior men's basketball squad, who will challenge Norway twice at Stirling's new Peak Sports Centre next weekend in games sponsored by Continental Airlines.

Paddy Campbell has made a good recovery from the injury which ruined his Scottish Cup Final chances and he will be joined by likely captain Laurie Costello, Simon Flockhart and Garreth Lodge, the trio who were in the coach Iain Maclean's Scotland side in the last Euro C Championships at the Pleasance in 2008.

New coach Tom Campbell is preparing the side for their big European Championship test in Malta in July but will almost certainly be without Glasgow Rocks star Gareth Murray, who will still be on club duty.

The Scots open their 2010 Euro C Challenge against another tough Scandinavian side Denmark in on 5 July and they will also face San Marino and Malta in their group.
