Ballabrook can chip in with win for Donald McCain at Kelso

Donald McCAIN continues to regularly fire in the winners, despite the slight winding down of the jumps calendar, and he can be in double form at Kelso tomorrow.

Ballabrook evidently relishes a quick surface and he can kick off McCain's brace by notching a third win on the bounce in the KOSB Novices' Handicap Chase.

The nine-year-old took a while to get it together over fences but after getting his head in front at Towcester last month, he has since gone in again at Wincanton. While neither race was particularly strong, he managed to shrug off a propensity to jump to the left when he strolled home by 31 lengths on the first occasion. He demonstrated that same trait again last time but after doing it the hard way from the front, none of his rivals could get close.

This could be a tougher proposition, but Ballabrook's confidence is riding high right now and summer jumping appears to be his game.
