Australian Rules: Ex-Edinburgh rugby man Pyke helps Swans win final

Former Edinburgh Rugby full back Mike Pyke completed a remarkable sporting journey when he helped Sydney Swans win the Australian Rules grand final in front of a 99,683 crowd at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.

The 28-year-old, who earned 20 rugby caps for Canada
before making the switch to his new sport four years ago, played a key role in the 91-81 win over Hawthorn Hawks.

Pyke spent two seasons at Edinburgh under coach Frank Hadden before heading for France in 2006, where he played for two seasons with Montauban.
