Auchterarder, Langholm to contest Girls' Cup

THE Community School of Auchterarder face Langholm in the first of two Brewin Dolphin Girls' Cup Finals on the back pitches of Murrayfield Stadium today, kick-off 1pm.

Langholm under-15's place in the finals was secured following a comfortable victory over Atholl/Central 64-14 in the semi-finals, while Auchterarder defeated Ayrshire Cluster to gain their place in the finals.

Langholm coach Richard Morrison said: "The girls have been playing remarkably well. They have been together for two to three seasons now and are hungry for a win."

In today's under-18 cup final, Murrayfield Wanderers take on Gala at 2:30pm.

Gala chalked up a convincing win against Gordon Schools, Huntly, to guarantee their place in the final, while Murrayfield Wanderers, captained by Ashley Manuel, ended Auchterarder's hopes of a double final entry in both age groups, with a 40-12 win in the semi-finals.
