The Anorak: Charlton can scalp Barnet at 10-11

IT is strange to see a team of Charlton Athletic's stature playing for the right to be in the hat for the third round of the FA Cup.

It doesn't seem like long ago they were holding their own in the Premiership, with Darren Bent's goals boosting the reputation of his then boss Alan Curbishley. Those days are long gone, but Charlton should be strong enough to land this week's banker bet and see off Barnet at Underhill.

Both teams were in action midweek, the Addicks thumping Swindon 3-0 away while Barnet lost at home by the same score to Stevenage. In-form striker Paul Benson should continue his great run, and the men from The Valley look a great bet at 10-11 with Bet365.

To make up the Yankee, add Fulham at 11-8 to beat Aston Villa, who have only one fit striker, Peterborough to beat managerless Stockport at 8-11, and Partick Thistle at 2-1. The Jags' relegation worries surely ended this week and they could be far too big a price with Coral to win at crisis club Dundee.
