Sky Sports make live TV choice after SPFL Premiership split fixtures announced

Sky have chosen two matches for live broadcast from the remaining five SPFL Premiership matchdays.

The broadcaster plan to screen Rangers’ home game with Aberdeen on the final weekend of the season when James Tavernier is expected to lift the Premiership trophy and return it to the Ibrox trophy room after a nine year absence.

That game will be shown live at lunchtime on Saturday May 15, and another of Rangers’ three post-split home matches has been selected – the final Old Firm league match of the season with Celtic.

That game will also be shown live at lunchtime on May 2 with a 12pm kick-off.

Sky hold the live rights to SPFL top flight games this season and could yet add more fixtures with a basement battle lined up at the bottom of the league where Hamilton, Kilmarnock and Ross County are all vying to avoid the drop into the Championship.
