Loch Leven’s Larder

Enjoy a festive day at the popular Loch Leven’s Larder. As part of their Christmas events, these bespoke wreath-making classes are hosted by Jill Sutherland of Flora Alba, a local flower grower who has several years’ experience selling wreaths and leading workshops.

Participants will discover how to make a bespoke Christmas wreath using local evergreen greenery and natural decorations including cones, dried flowers and fruit. Tuition and all materials are provided, all you need to bring are secateurs and an apron. Anyone looking for extra decoration can also bring baubles or even lights.

Glendoick Garden Centre

Pack scissors or secateurs and head along to this morning of festive craft, hosted by florist Fiona Heggison. In this two hour workshop, you will learn how to make a Christmas wreath from scratch, with fresh moss, orange slices, mini pumpkins, chillis and a variety of other local fresh foliage, all supplied. After guiding you through the wreath construction, Fiona will also give advice on after care as well as tips about flowers and plants for the Christmas season.

Indulge in a morning of craft and culture with this Christmas wreath-making morning with Monica Wylie. Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh, the event is for Friends of the Gallery (so if you want to go, sign up here).

Hosted by local Edinburgh florist Monica, who owns Flowers by Monica Wylie, visitors can browse the gallery and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the cafe afterwards.
