Former Boroughmuir flanker Ben Fisher – currently a coach at the Edinburgh Rugby Academy – will assist newly appointed Under-20 head John Dalziel, with former Currie scrum-half Iain Monaghan continuing as an assistant.

The Malleny Park club is also well-represented at Under-18 level, where the assistants include Ben Cairns, whose predecessor in charge at Currie, Ally Donaldson, is taking on the head coach position.

The Under-16 group will operate as two separate squads, each with its own coaching team. The head coach roles will be occupied by Roddy Deans, who is the coach at Merchiston Castle School, and Stevie Lawrie, the former Edinburgh pro now responsible for the forwards at Heriot’s.

Among the assistants are Edinburgh Rugby Academy coach Bryan Easson, Davy Wilson, and Colin Philips, the Stewart’s Melville prop who is coach at the Caledonia Rugby Academy and returned to play for the Inverleith club this season after a spell in the professional ranks.
