The brewer is to become the official beer partner of the national football team in a deal that goes up to and includes the 2018 World Cup. Tennent’s has an association with the Scotland side that stretches back 40 years and this latest tie-up reflects the upturn in fortunes enjoyed by the team under Gordon Strachan. Vauxhall remains the lead sponsor of the national side.

Meanwhile, Stuart Armstrong and Christophe Berra have been ruled out of the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Georgia and Germany with back and hamstring injuries respectively.
