Scotland fan climbs in Dublin window to fetch ball

WE’VE all been there. Railway lines, deep ponds, inaccessible roofs and many more have all been responsible for taking our footballs.

So hats off to this Scotland fan, who climbed up to a first floor window in Dublin’s Temple Bar to retrieve a lost ball over the weekend.

Thousands of Tartan Army members descended on the Irish capital as Gordon Strachan’s men took on Martin O’Neill’s Ireland in the battle for Euro 2016 qualification.

According to eyewitnesses, a large group of Scottish fans started an impromptu game of football in the street, before the lightweight ball was hoofed through a window.

Cue much excitement from the gathered fans below as the kilt-clad supporter managed to get up to the window ledge, haul himself in and retrieve the ball.
