The South Africa-based businessman is set to meet representatives of the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) board in London, as well as a representative from Rangers’ stock exchange adviser Daniel Stewart.

King was present as Rangers beat East Fife 4-0 on Saturday as he carried out a whirlwind tour of talks and negotiations.

The former director needs the approval of the Daniel Stewart brokers before a nomination to the Rangers board can be put before the AIM board. King would then be required to pass a SFA fit and proper person’s test before being allowed to take a seat among the directors at Ibrox.
