RSM, formerly Baker Tilly, said about 70 employees and partners are to be based at the new premises, one of its five locations in Scotland.

In 2006, RSM started supporting the Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Award, and has increased its corporate support for the charity in recognition of the latter’s diamond anniversary next year, becoming the DofE’s first headline diamond partner for local impact.

David Gwilliam, RSM’s chief operating officer, said: “Our investment in new premises here in Glasgow, timed to coincide with the adoption of our new brand, is a signal of our commitment to the city and our confidence in the future growth prospects for local businesses.”

Among other guests were Lord William Haughey of City Refrigeration and Stagecoach’s Sir Brian Souter.
