Edinburgh City Council’s interactive slider tool gives history fans the chance to examine photographs from some of the oldest parts of the city, and then watch the area as it transforms over the years.

The innovative Our Town Stories page creates a ghostly effect in parts of Edinburgh including, the Royal Mile, Leith, North Bridge and the Meadowbank Veldrome.
