A pedestrian has died after being knocked down in Dundee.
The 33-year-old man was struck in Argylegait on Monday.
Police, who were alerted to the incident at 1.18am, said the man was admitted to the city’s Ninewells Hospital after suffering head injuries, and a police spokesman later confirmed the man’s death.
A 17 year old man was arrested in connection with the incident shortly after it happened, and remains in custody.
The road was closed between the Westport Roundabout and North Lindsay Street in the wake of the crash but it has since reopened.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
