Dave King hints at Park consortium alliance
King snapped up 15 per cent yesterday following Laxey Partners’ decisions to sell their 16 per cent to the Park-led group known as the Three Bears.

Hide AdWhen asked by the Daily Record if the move could signal a coming together of the two parties to seize control of the club from the current board, King said: “I will work with any like-minded group.”
King also reiterated his displeasure at the board’s decision to choose Mike Ashley’s loan offer over his £16m bail out plan. He said: “I would like to specifically record my disappointment that, if I hadn’t been blocked by the present board in favour of a lesser and commercially disadvantageous offer by Mr Ashley, the money could have gone into the club and not into the pockets of existing shareholders.”
The Rangers fans have welcomed the news, Union of Fans spokesman Chris Graham told the Daily Express: “We’ve been waiting for a while to get to the stage where there are people who actually care about the club with major shareholdings, and in the space of the last few days we’ve got two lots.
“It’s really good news and the picture looks a lot brighter.
“We’ve had a year or two of being knocked from pillar to post so at least these share purchases have given the fans something to smile about.
“They are all Rangers fans and their motivation will be to see the club back where it needs to be.”
Sandy Easdale’s spokesman, Jack Irvine, said: “Sandy is pleased Dave King has shown goodwill and bought these shares and he hopes it will lead to further investment.”
