The new roles will be focused on creating content for Dovetail’s forthcoming flight simulation products, along with expansion of the existing team working on its Train Simulator game.

Jon Rissik, senior vice-president and general manager at Dovetail, said: “With the funding we have received from Clydesdale Bank, we are looking to grow the business in a new direction and build a bigger team in Scotland.

Virtual reality is without question the future of gaming and we are interested in exploring VR development more in the future. Clydesdale Bank is extremely supportive of our plans and recognises the exciting growth opportunity presented by new platforms such as virtual reality gaming.”

Stephen Buchan, head of Clydesdale Bank’s Edinburgh business and private banking centre, added: “Dovetail Games is a well-managed and ambitious games firm which aspires to be the world’s number one simulation entertainment company. We look forward to working in partnership with the management team as they develop their innovative product range and continue to grow their creative development teams.”
