Computer games firm to create 50 jobs in Stirling

Dovetail Games, founded in 2009, currently employs 11 people in the city and has more than 120 staff at its main office in Kent.

The firm said the plans to boost its headcount north of the Border over the next 12 months come in the wake of a “substantial” funding package from Clydesdale Bank.

The new roles will be focused on creating content for Dovetail’s forthcoming flight simulation products, along with expansion of the existing team working on its Train Simulator game.

Jon Rissik, senior vice-president and general manager at Dovetail, said: “With the funding we have received from Clydesdale Bank, we are looking to grow the business in a new direction and build a bigger team in Scotland.
