Andy Murray hit by ball-girl’s throw; gets ‘adorable’ apology

The British number one looked shocked and gave the umpire a stare in the seconds after it happened, video footage also shows the Olympic champion letting out a “what the f***.”

The thrower was a young ball-girl named Lorenza, who later wrote up a sweet apology that was tweeted at Murray.

It happened during Murray’s match against David Goffin on Thursday at the Paris Masters. Murray went on to win the match comfortably.

Murray gave the story a happy ending when he responded to Lorenza’s note, he tweeted: “Adorable. Gave me a little fright but it woke me up, see you tomorrow Lorenza”.
