Founded by husband and wife team Chris and Kara Graham in May, Aberdeen Concrete has already used the funding to buy a new truck and cement hopper.

The Westhill-based start-up now expects to take on additional workers in the coming months on the back of the invoice finance facility.

Chris Graham said: “I was advised by a friend at another concrete company that they had been very happy with the service they had received from Aldermore and that their facility had really helped them grow their business. I made enquiries and was impressed that Aldermore took the time to listen to what we had to say and to pay attention to what our business actually needed.

“Our dealings with Aldermore have been quick and easy. We’re looking forward to using this finance to take Aberdeen Concrete to the next level at this exciting stage in our growth.”

Jamie Watts, Aldermore’s Scottish regional sales manager for invoice finance, added: “Aberdeen Concrete was a great candidate for an invoice finance facility. As a new business with a very experienced management team and a more efficient business model than many of its competitors, the company have very strong potential for growth.”
