What does the meal deal include?

Available for one day only on Friday 14 February 2020, the Wetherspoons meal deal includes two mains, two desserts and two drinks, all for £20.

Diners can also choose to pay an extra £5 to upgrade their meal to include a bottle of prosecco or rose brut sparkling wine.

Which dishes are included in the meal deal?

There will be a variety of dishes included in the 14 February meal deal, including an 8oz sirloin steak, a chocolate fudge cake and vegan options.

Is the meal deal good value?

The meal deal allows each diner to enjoy a main course, dessert and drink for £10 each.

Although prices vary between pubs, in some chains the 8oz sirloin steak can normally cost over £11 on its own, and the mixed grill can cost just under £11.

The gourmet vegan burger and mediterranean vegetable lasagne typically cost around £7 each.

When it comes to desserts, the fresh fruit and ice cream option, which is included in the Valentine’s meal deal, typically costs around £2.75 per portion, whereas the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, chocolate brownie with ice cream or cookie dough sandwich with ice cream each cost £3.40.

Hot drinks cost £1.20 each, with alcoholic beverages varying in price. Overall, even if you were to choose the cheaper items included in the Valentine’s Day meal deal, you’d still be typically be making a saving compared to buying the same dishes separately.

Which pubs is the meal deal available in?

The pub chain has said that 600 of its 900 pubs will be taking part in the Valentine’s Day promotion, so it’s worth contacting your local pub to see if the offer will be running for you and your other half.
