The live FIFA ‘20 tournament is being held to generate donations for Unicef to help stop the spread of coronavirus and limit the impact on children’s lives – and every £1 donated will be matched by the UK government.

The real-life version of Soccer Aid between an England side and a Rest of the World side was due to take place earlier this month, but has been postponed until further notice.

How will the tournament work?

The tournament will consist of eight 1 v 1 matches between gamers and celebrities from England and the rest of the World.

The winner will be decided on overall aggregate score, but if a team is more than four goals down entering a match their goals in the match will count for double until they are level or ahead

If the score is tied at the end of the eight matches, team captains start a new match and golden goal wins

Which celebrities are participating?

Catains Usain Bolt and Robbie Williams will face off, with Scottish actor James McAvoy also set to take on pop star Liam Payne.

Olly Murs will take on Roman Kemp, while two unnamed footballers will also square off as part of the match up.

Special guests including Jessie Ware and May Jama will cheer teams on from the sidelines during the virtual fixture.
