Lidl is recalling these baby food pouches over fears they contain mould

Lidl is recalling pouches of baby food over fears the product may contain traces of mould.

The supermarket has recalled ten different flavours from its Lupilu organic baby food range, with shoppers urged not to feed the item to their baby.

Point of sales notices have been displayed in all Lidl stores that are selling the product, warning shoppers that the possible presence of mould makes it unsafe to eat.

These are all of the products being recalled:

Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit Pouches, Stage One

Pack size: 120g (Apples & Strawberries; Bananas & Apples; Bananas & Peaches). All batch codes and best before dates.

Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit & Veg Pouches, Stage One

Pack size: 120g (Apples, Carrots & Parsnips; Butternut Squash, Apples, Carrots & Prunes; Sweet Potato, Pumpkin, Apples & Blueberries). All batch codes and best before dates.

Lupilu Organic Baby Apple Pouches, Stage One

Pack size: 5 packs (5 x 90g). All batch codes and best before dates.

Lupilu Organic Baby Breakfast Pouches, Stage Two

Pack size: 100g (Banana Yoghurt with Oats & Rice; Banana, Blueberries & Rice; Mango Yoghurt with Oats & Rice). All batch codes and best before dates.

Advice for customers

Shoppers who have bought any of the affected products are advised not to consume them, and instead return them to their nearest store for a full refund.

The supermarket said: “Lidl GB [and Lidl Northern Ireland] is recalling the above mentioned products due to the possible presence of mould in the product.

“If you have bought any of the above mentioned products, do not eat them. Instead, return them to a Lidl GB store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.

“No other Lupila products in Lidl GB [and Lidl Northern Ireland] stores are affected by this recall.

“Lidl GB [and Lidl Northern Ireland] wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
