Internet giant Google has rolled out a new comparison feature that allows people to find the best hotel deals when planning their holidays.

Integrated into the search engine, the site allows users to enter the destination and dates of their trip, as well as the number of guests.

It produces accommodation options and prices, making it easy to spot the cheapest places at a glance. The price range can also then be adjusted.

Google Hotel Search features a map tool on the right hand side. This comes complete with markers highlighting locations and prices, similar to rival accommodation site, Airbnb.

Once a user clicks on the thumbnails on the left hand side of the search results page they are taken to the hotel’s individual landing page.

There, they are given the details of the hotel, including address, contact details and photos, and a short blurb about what it would be like to stay there. They can also look at things to do nearby.

This landing page includes all the deals on offer for that hotel on various booking sites, enabling easy comparison to get the best price and giving insight into how much money the customer can potentially save.

Reviews from other Google users who have also stayed there are also included, and it is possible to filter the searches based on factors like rating, facilities and accommodation type.
