This curator role offers the opportunity to manage and develop a growing section within the Department of Science and Technology at not only the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, but also the National Museum of Rural Life and the National Museums Collection Centre.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing these museums' collections, particularly in relation to contemporary developments in technology.

Stonemasonry Apprentice, Culzean Castle, Ayrshire

Perfect for someone at the beginning of their working life, this four year apprenticeship will teach the person hired the craft of stonemasonry as they help to carry out important conservation work on historic National Trust properties.

Based at Culzean Castle, the job's salary will be line with national SBATC rates for a four year apprentice.

Museum Director, The Stirling Smith, Stirling

The current Director of The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum is retiring, and the hunt is on to find their replacement.

The unique museum houses both artwork and artefacts from Stirling that are of local, national and international importance, including the world's oldest football.

The ideal candidate will have museum or art gallery management experience and a good understanding of Scotland's cultural scene.

Social History Curator, Paisley Museum Re-Imagined, Paisley (£29,923-£32,682)

Paisley Museum Re-Imagined is a £42 million project focused on the redevelopment of Paisley Museum and Art Gallery, which is due to open in 2022.

The new Social History Curator will be required to engage with the museum's collections, employees and community to identify the most interesting and intriguing objects, as well as their interpretive stories.

Collections & Conservation Manager, Paisley Museum Re-Imagined, Paisley (£33,125-£37,891)

Also based at the new Paisley Museum and Art Gallery, this hands-on job requires someone to develop conservation and collections management processes to help create accessible and object-rich displays.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of developing and delivering significant scale conservation and/or collections management programmes.
