Rangers-supporting pundit ribs ex-Celtic star for 'not a good team' comment

Kris Boyd poked fun at fellow pundit Jackie McNamara for comments made by the former Celtic player earlier in the season on the day in which Rangers wrapped up the Scottish Premiership title.

McNamara had previously stated following a 2-0 victory at Celtic Park for Steven Gerrard’s men that he wasn’t impressed with the Ibrox side, calling them “not a good team”.

Rangers have lost only one game all season and remain undefeated in the league, winning their first title in 10 days with six games left to play.

And Boyd reminded the former Dundee United manager of his comments during Sky Sports’ broadcast of Celtic’s 0-0 draw at Tannadice.

He said of Rangers: “They’ve been outstanding, right from day one. We covered them up at Pittodrie that day. They managed to find the victory and they’ve been excellent since.”

Before adding: “No bad for a team that’s not that good, Jackie.”
