Kwadwo Baah, Rochdale’s 18-year-old winger, had been close to securing a move to the Etihad amid interest from a host of clubs including the Ibrox side.

However, reports this morning in The Telegraph suggest that the teenager's move fell through “at the medical stage of the deal”.

Baah’s contract at Spotland is up in the summer, which is when he was due to transfer to City, but he would now appear to be back on the market.

Rangers interest was reported in January by The Athletic, which stated clubs including Bayern Munich, West Ham, and Juventus were keeping tabs on the former Crystal Palace youngster.

Baah had been due to join City and then head out on loan for the 2021/22 season after talks progressed earlier this year but his future is now uncertain after the move broke down.
