The Finnish midfielder revealed last month that talks have taken place over an extension to his current deal which runs until 2023.

"There's been some talks," Kamara said in March. “The season's been good, obviously we've just become champions.

"It's been a success so far. I still have two years left on my contract.

"There's still time over the summer to see what will happen."

Steven Gerrard and the club are keen to reward the player’s performances and tie him down to a longer contract.

It would also provide the club with greater protection with regards to interest from other clubs with both Leeds United and Juventus mentioned in the past, and allow Rangers to command a substantial fee.

Former Ibrox ace Hutton believes a new deal will be agreed and a release clause could form part of it.

“It suits everyone,” he told Football Insider. “He looks happy playing his football.

“He’s a main part of Steven Gerrard’s team. He’s learning from arguably one of the best midfielders in the world.

“Nowadays, with the likes of release clauses and things like that, if Rangers or Glen are willing to put that in there it suits everyone.

“Rangers are going to get value for the player, they’re giving the player the option that if this value is met, they’ll let him leave.

“To get to that stage he’s got to be playing at the top of his game so everybody’s a winner.”
