Scottish election 2021 results: This is how the constituency map of Scotland looks now

We’ve created an interactive constituency map to display the winning party in each seat as the results come in – here’s some background on how we will be using this graphic.

Keeping track of the results will be difficult, since they will be announced over the course of two days, so we will be letting you know how a constituency has voted as soon as we know via our interactive result map.

As results start to come in, each constituency will change from grey to the colour of the winning party.

When a seat turns red on the map, this will show that it has been won by Scottish Labour. When a seat turns yellow, the SNP have been declared the victor there.

Scottish Conservative seats will turn blue, Scottish Green Party seats will turn green and Liberal Democrat seats will be coloured orange.

You can compare the results of this election and 2016 election across the whole of Scotland by using the tabs in the top left corner of the map to flick back and forth between the two.

While regional (list) results will not be calculated until constituencies have been declared, hovering over any one of the pink circles on the map will tell you how many MSPs were elected per party to each of the eight region’s seven seats in 2016 – with regional results for 2021 to be added as soon as we have them.
