Dundee United take training via technology in snow-day Zoom session before facing Livingston at Tannadice
Ahead of the weekend’s match with Livingston, Micky Mellon found many of his players unable to travel – so quick-thinking United officials set up a Zoom session and held a video fitness session instead to ensure there were ‘no excuses’ this weekend.
Mellon, who was affected by the heavy snowfall in the east of the country, explained: “We did a bit of a Zoom session with them that they found very tough.

Hide Ad“From their own houses, they were on with the fitness coach to make sure they were working all the muscles that they need to work to stay fit without getting injured – hamstrings, glutes, calves and getting them out of breath so to work the heart,” Mellon told the Evening Telegraph.
“We managed to do what we needed to so we will get a wee bit more in tomorrow and be ready for Saturday. There will be no excuses."
United then found indoor facilities to train and lead into the weekend game with the Lions, but it remains to be seen if Tannadice will be playable for the visit of David Martindale’s side.
Storm Darcy dumped a blanket of snow on much of Scotland earlier this week and Livingston’s game against Hamilton fell foul of the weather in midweek. They could face a second postponement if the United ground doesn’t make the grade. Neighbours Dundee were also forced to cancel their game with Ayr United on Tuesday.
