Celtic ‘will sell Ajer’ as EPL side circles

Celtic are likely to sell defender Kristoffer Ajer during the summer transfer window, according to reports in the player’s homeland. The report cites interest from Tottenham Hotspur while a similar report in Italy suggests AC Milan are also keen on the payer. However, the Hoops are expected to demand a big price for the highly-rated internationalist which could rule out a move to the San Siro and pave the way for Spurs to bring in a replacement for the out-of-contract Jan Vertonghen. Rangers eye Douglas swoop

Rangers are understood to be keen on a move for Leeds United defender Barry Douglas. The full-back, who is largely out of favour at Elland Road, is viewed as a strong back-up option to starting left-back Borna Barisic, with previous stand-ins Jon Flanagan and Andy Halliday out of contract in the summer. Nice boss Patrick Vieira is eyeing up a possible move for Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham. The pair crossed paths at Manchester City during Ntcham’s formative years and the ex-Arsenal and France ace is understood to be weighing up a move for the 24-year-old. Ntcham is contracted to the Hoops until the end of the 2021/22 season but Celtic could allow him to move on if a big enough fee is offered. (Le10Sport)

Out-of-contract Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella will reportedly knock back the offer of a new deal from the Anfield side amid interest from Rangers, according to reports. The Spaniard is well-known to former Reds coach Steven Gerrard and although Jurgen Klopp is said to rate the 22-year-old, interest from the Gers and French side Nantes could prompt Chirivella to seek regular first-team football elsewhere.
