Sinclair takes the hot-seat at Bo'ness

Former Camelon boss Sinclair, who has also managed Armadale Thistle, will be in the dug-out for tomorrow's trip to face Bonnyrigg Rose in the first round of the Dechmont Forklift Cup.

Sinclair is well known in junior circles and enjoyed a successful playing career with United's' bitter rivals Linlithgow Rose. He also had a brief stint at Dundee. Sinclair takes over from veteran players Gordon Russell and Gary Smith, who have been taking the team on a temporary basis after the departure of Irvine just a month into the new season.

Bo'ness United secretary, John Aitchison said : "We were unanimous that Eric was our man.

"His network of contacts across junior football is second to none and his coaching credentials are excellent. Eric is looking forward to getting back into football."

United have enjoyed an indifferent start to the campaign, crashing out of the South League Cup and losing their first four Super League matches.

However, they recorded an emphatic 4-1 victory over the hitherto unbeaten Linlithgow Rose last weekend and Sinclair will be hoping to build on that.

The club hope to have Sinclair's assistant - whose identity has been kept secret- in place in time for tomorrow's game.
