Ene Group to create 50 jobs in Wishaw

ENE Group, which rescued modular construction firm Powerwall out of administration in August, is to create 50 jobs at its factory in Wishaw.

The new owner has split Powerwall into Enemetric, which focuses on the modular buildings, and Enewall, which makes pre-mixed renders for surfaces, and is now pumping £1 million into an expansion plan.

Ene Group has bought the former Bone Steel site next to its existing Wishaw factory, allowing it to win more contracts.

Thirty jobs were saved when Ene Group bought Powerwall, which had also been through a pre-pack administration in 2010. Powerwall had employed about 80 staff before its most recent administration and has already rehired some of its former staff.
