Paterson, who joined the firm from logistics company Gist more than two years ago, has already boosted turnover and is set to play a key part in the group’s expansion drive.

He said: “We have now set our sights firmly on achieving breakthrough in the rest of the UK and building on the success we’ve already had with teams we have established in Newcastle and Manchester”.

The firm, which employs 430 staff, recently won a key contract to clean Owens-Illinois’ Alloa bottle factory.
