Zorbing run plan on a roll

PLANS for one of the biggest zorbing runs in the country next to Hillend ski centre have been given the go-ahead.

A 150-metre ramp will allow up to two people to play hamsters in the bouncy globes and zoom down a steep slope at speeds of up to 40mph.

Developer James Clayton-Jones said: “We are delighted that planning permission has been granted. We plan to start work on creating the run in the next few months and open next Easter. The run will be the fastest in Scotland. We can’t wait to get started – it will be a lot of fun.”
