Zoo’s star attractions seen in black and white

Visitors to Edinburgh Zoo had their first chance to set eyes on Tian Tian and Yang Guang yesterday.

Around 600 people – including Eve Miller from Bridge of Allan, pictured – pre-booked to see the giant pandas during their first day on show to the public.

People were allowed into the viewing areas in groups of around 25 to watch the animals, take photographs and receive a short talk from a zoo guide.

Lesley MacNiven, 40, who took her two young daughters to see the bears, said: “It’s been absolutely great.”
