Youth summit talks planned

A YOUTH summit discussing issues affecting young people will be held at Newbattle Abbey College on Monday.

Entitled Young People for a Change, the conference will bring together youngsters and officials from the police, health service and voluntary sector to debate the challenges facing the group today.

The event will include workshops, a question time session, information stalls and speeches.

The conference, from 10am to 2.30pm, is a joint initiative between Midlothian Council's community learning and development team and the Midlothian Youth Platform.
