The cost of finding out whether your partner is a cheat is £3.50 for three searches – which possibly allows the person to let their friends check on their own partners.

People can log on to Tinder for free to check through profiles, but this runs the risk of their partner seeing them also on the website.

The creator of Swipebuster told Vanity Fair that he didn’t create the site to put people off cheating.

He said he wanted to draw attention to how easy it is to find people’s information, adding: “There is too much data about people that people themselves don’t know is available.

“Not only are people oversharing and putting out a lot of information about themselves, but companies are also not doing enough to let people know they’re doing it.”
