Your chance to have a say on Princes Street revamp

A public consultation on
proposals aimed at transforming the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre has started.

The council scheme to transform the city centre, particularly around Princes Street and George Street, is aimed at making it a better place,

Planning convener Councillor Ian Perry said: “I think many people recognise that for all its architectural beauty and wealth of enticing
shops and amenities, the city centre is still not yet achieving its full potential. With this public consultation, we’ve got the chance here to really do something for the city centre and we’re determined to find a solution which works best for everyone.

The consultation process will gather views from as many interested and affected parties as possible, in a bid to determine how the proposals will impact on the city.

The online survey can be accessed at www.survey
