THE first couple ever to be married by a robot will visit the University of Edinburgh's Institute of Perception, Action and Behaviour on Monday.

Tomohiro Shibata and Satoko Inouegot wed in Tokyo in May, with the ceremony carried out by a robot named I-Fairy. It usually directs visitors in museums, and was reprogrammed especially for the wedding.
