Writer flicks Christmas switch

Alexander McCall Smith will switch on the Bruntsfield Christmas lights outside the Eric Liddell Centre at 4.30pm on Saturday. There will be music from local choir Songworks, and seasonal refreshments.

The event, organised by Merchiston Community Council, will include a collection for Dementia Care Services.
