Writer brushes up on art

The Maxwell Legacy showcases the artistic tradition in Craigmillar through the work of its current artists.

Mr Byrne, who also wrote Tutti Frutti and is an acclaimed artist in his own right, is pictured with a piece called Dawn of Reptiles by multi-media artist Mark Carr.

And he enjoyed a special preview of other works at the show, in a special Gala Opening night. The exhibition in the John Maxwell Gallery, on Harewood Road, will run until Friday.
