Zimbabwe facing agriculture crisis

More than a million people in Zimbabwe will require food aid between now and March 2012, the UN World Food Programme has said, despite recent improvements in the country’s grain production.

The southern African country has struggled since 2000, when president Robert Mugabe began seizing white-owned farms, leading to a fall in farm output.
