Turkey in language gesture to Kurds

Turkey’s prime minister has announced his government will introduce elective lessons in the Kurdish language in schools.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan told MPs yesterday that “this is a historic step.” The move is the latest gesture to grant more cultural rights to the Kurdish minority.”
