Turkey bullish on Cyprus gas search

Turkey has called on major international oil and gas companies seeking licences to search for gas deposits off Cyprus to withdraw their bids.

Turkey says a gas search by the Greek Cypriot government flouts the rights of Turkish Cypriots. Last month it began its own exploratory drilling.
