Third runway for Hong Kong airport

Hong Kong’s government has given conditional approval to a third runway for the city’s airport.

Transport secretary Eva Cheng said the plan for Chek Lap Kok Airport involves reclaiming 1,600 acres of land from the sea. The project is expected to cost HK $11 billion.
