Taleban suicide attacks kill 28

Three suicide bombers killed at least 28 people and wounded more than 70 others yesterday when they blew themselves up outside a hospital and in a busy city market in south-western Afghanistan.

The attack was one of the most deadly in the troubled country this year. Taleban insurgents and their allies have been ratcheting up attacks as international troops hand over security to Afghan forces.
